BIO

With their fast picking and fresh arrangements, ShadowGrass is moving forward in the bluegrass genre by incorporating each member’s varied influences into a fresh project that branches outside the bounds of traditional music while maintaining traditional instrumentation. Each of the band members grew up in a culturally rich area of traditional music, which heavily influences their approach to music. Feeding off of each other’s musical ideas and energy, their music proves to be a constantly evolving world that draws the audience in at every show.

X

Founded by Jimmy Adame and Elliott Miller, Denver-based rock band HOLLOW HEAD first introduced themselves with alternative folk-rock album ‘A Spark of Madness’, drawing comparisons to Radiohead, Bon Iver, and Bear’s Den. The album’s lyrical intimacy and truly alternative musical stylings first made ripples in the Colorado music scene and first put eyes on this newly-formed band.

After performing the debut record as a duo for a couple years, the duo expanded their live performance by adding multi-instrumentalists Ian Gerrard and John Baldwin to the lineup. Hollow Head took inspiration from other influences, like Soundgarden and Foo Fighters, and completed their second record (self-titled) that will be released to the world on May 2nd.

Hollow Head has a strong following in cities like Denver, Nashville, Detroit, Austin, and has picked up traction in Ontario and Alberta, CA. If you’re a booking agent or are otherwise interested in booking Hollow Head, please visit our EPK located on our ‘Press’ page.

Jason Eady (Colorado Springs)

About the album, Eady reflects: "The idea for this album started the day that I finished my last album To The Passage of Time. Gordy Quist, the producer of that album, asked what I wanted to do next...

Mississippi is an album I’ve been wanting to make for a long time. I’ve always been a lyrics first kind of writer, but this time around it’s all about the sound. Growing up in Mississippi, I was raised around that groove centered music and it’s always been a very big part of what I do. I’ve usually had at least one song on each album that touched on this sound, but this time I went all in. This was a fun album to write because I completely shifted gears and let the music decide what the words were going to be. The words had to fit the music, which is the opposite of my usual process.

Being a member of the Band of Heathens, I knew this was going to be right up Gordy's alley. He put together an amazing group of players that got exactly what we were going for. And just like the last album, we recorded everything live, all at once, including harmony vocals. Since the vibe was important for this one we knew that was the only way to do it and capture that energy. I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out.

I hope people have as much fun listening to it as we had making it.”
