Parker Millsap + The Bones of J.R. Jones
X

“There was no ‘a-ha’ moment,” says Jonathon Linaberry, “no life-changing revelation, no singular flash of inspiration. It was just a fierce, steady, undeniable energy, a force of nature I had to wrestle and wrangle with for years until I could harness it.”

It’s easy to understand, then, why Linaberry—better known as The Bones Of J.R. Jones—would call his mesmerizing new album Slow Lightning. As its title would suggest, the collection is raw and visceral, pulsating with an understated electrical current that flows just beneath its seemingly placid surface. The songs are restless and unsettled here, often grappling with doubt and desire in the face of nature and fate, and frequent collaborator Kiyoshi Matsuyama’s production is eerily hypnotic to match, with haunting synthesizers, vintage drum machines, and ghostly guitars fleshing out Linaberry’s already-cinematic brand of roots noir. The result is a moody, ominous work that’s equal parts Southern Gothic and transcendentalist meditation, an instinctual slice of piercing self-reflection that hints at everything from Bruce Springsteen and Bon Iver to James Murphy and J.J. Cale as it searches for meaning and purpose in a world without easy answers.

Corb Lund, Branson Anderson - El Viejo Release Tour (Denver, CO)
X
A rural Albertan hailing from the foothills of the Rocky Mountains with a long family lineage ofranchers and rodeo people, Lund is about as authentic as they come, and equally as hard todefine. The western Canadian singer-songwriter is an elusive artist—onstage, offstage, and in thestudio—seamlessly weaving between the outlaw country, Western, and indie-folk realms withan honest curiosity and rowdy devotion to each. He was raised with the tried and true DIYsentiment of “if you want something done, you gotta do it yourself” launching his careerrecording in his basement, printing his own shirts, booking his own tours, being his ownmanager and publicist... whatever it took to get it done. He toured for years with the indie-metal bandthe smalls, and later turned his sights to writing Western songs, creating a uniqueand quirky hybrid writing style along the way. He has received multiple domestic andinternational award nominations and wins. In2022, Lund won his 14th career Canadian CountryMusic Award and made his debut at the historic Grand Ole Opry earlier this year as well. Hisalbum of originals,El Viejo, is due February 2024.

The Toxhards
X

Rising above the smog-filled hellscape of Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley is the sweet, sultry sound of The Toxhards - half power-pop, half prog, half rock theatre. The Toxhards are perhaps most recognizable for their high-energy-depression-with-a-smile-core song "Doombop!" or  "Ængus, The Prize-Winning Hog" -  a <4 minute rock opera that blew up with over 10 million views across TikTok/Reels.

They are known in the Los Angeles rock scene for their rousing live performances, which include 8-foot pig suits, t-shirt tosses, AirDropping unreleased songs, coffee chugging, and mosh pits with evil butchers. With over 100k followers on TikTok and over 60k followers on Instagram, The Toxhards are proving more and more with each new track and at every show that they are the future of [whatever subgenre they are] rock.

Hollow Head, Immigrant's Child, Juno Rossa
X

Founded by Jimmy Adame and Elliott Miller, Denver-based rock band HOLLOW HEAD first introduced themselves with alternative folk-rock album ‘A Spark of Madness’, drawing comparisons to Radiohead, Bon Iver, and Bear’s Den. The album’s lyrical intimacy and truly alternative musical stylings first made ripples in the Colorado music scene and first put eyes on this newly-formed band.

After performing the debut record as a duo for a couple years, the duo expanded their live performance by adding multi-instrumentalists Ian Gerrard and John Baldwin to the lineup. Hollow Head took inspiration from other influences, like Soundgarden and Foo Fighters, and completed their second record (self-titled) that will be released to the world on May 2nd.

Hollow Head has a strong following in cities like Denver, Nashville, Detroit, Austin, and has picked up traction in Ontario and Alberta, CA. If you’re a booking agent or are otherwise interested in booking Hollow Head, please visit our EPK located on our ‘Press’ page.

Mike Massé: Epic Acoustic Classic Rock feat. Range Ensemble
X

Mike Massé (https://mikemasse.com) is an internationally acclaimed, Ovation-sponsored, acoustic artist. Legends of rock, including Toto, Boston, Sarah McLachlan, Asia, and others have expressed love and gratitude for his renditions of their songs. Toto cites his cover of “Africa” as their favorite.

Mike initially gained notoriety for his performances posted on his widely viewed YouTube channel, https://youtube.com/mikemasse. The success of that channel allowed him to quit his day job as a public defender, and move his family to Denver to become a full-time musician. He can be seen performing at public and private events around the country and the world, including sold-out shows in the U.S. and Europe.

He is a highly regarded acoustic arranger. His arrangements are praised for their originality, creativity, accuracy and simplicity. He is careful to remain true to what is beloved about the original recordings, while bringing his own masterful musical flair to each rendition. He has performed live as a vocalist with former and original members of the band Boston, doing a set of all classic Boston songs, some of the most challenging rock vocals ever recorded.

Mike recently performed an evening of Beatles’ music with his band Rubber Souls, accompanied by the Denver Pops Orchestra. He appeared in a national television commercial for Google, a tribute to Prince that aired during the 2017 Grammies.
