BandWagon Battle of the Bands (Colorado Springs Prelim) @ LuLu's Downtown feat. TBA Saturday, November 14th 2026 | Doors @ 7PM | Show @ 8PM It's our favorite time of year again, when we celebrate local music with some healthy competition between Colorado's best bands at the BandWagon Battle of the Bands. The series, which has been happening annually since 2011, hosts shows in Denver (2), Greeley, Fort Collins and Colorado Springs with preliminary rounds that see top bands in each city battle it out for entry to the finals. This year's prize includes a $5,000 check and a BandWagon Magazine cover story, which will be awarded at the Moxi Theater on January 23rd, 2027. But first, the groups need to make it through the prelims. Denver's happens first, at the Black Buzzard: Night one, on Friday, November 6, night two on Friday, November 13. The Colorado Springs prelim will happen at Lulu's Downtown on November 14; Fort Collins will take place at Sound Bar on November 21; and the Greeley's prelim will be at The Moxi Theater on December 4. The performances are judged by about ten judges with strong ties to the Colorado music scene, plus a fan voting system. Submit your band to compete HERE. Apply to be a judge HERE.
